These coconut date balls have been an absolute favourite snack in my household during Ramadan. They are packed full of nutritional ingredients such as dates, nuts and oats and then coated with shredded coconut. They make for the perfect post taraweeh treat or even to open iftar with. Super easy, quick, nutritious, and there’s no baking involved (result!) Dad absolutely loved these, Alhamdulillah ✨

COCONUT DATE BALLS
These coconut date balls have been an absolute favourite snack in my household during Ramadan. They are packed full of nutritional ingredients such as dates, nuts and oats and then coated with shredded coconut. They make for the perfect post taraweeh treat or even to open iftar with. Ingredients
- 2 cup Walnuts
- 2 cup Original oats
- 1 tbsp Chia seeds
- 1 tbsp Mixed seeds
- 2 tbsp Cocoa powder
- 150 g Milk or Dark chocolate
- 2 tbsp Maple syrup or Honey
- 2 cups Sukhree dates soaked in warm water
- Desiccated coconut to coat
Instructions
- Add all the ingredients except the dates in a blender. Blend until coarse.
- Add in your dates and blend until the mixture comes together (your mixture should hold well and easily mold)
- Roll the mixture into small-medium sized balls.
- Coat them evenly with desiccated coconut.
- Place them in an airtight container with the layers separated by parchment paper, and they will keep for around 10 days in the fridge You can also freeze the balls in the same way and defrost them in the fridge overnight
- Serve and enjoy!
